Execution Examples

• To generate a machine code and install a key:
  • asi_elmadmin -c -e /path/to/Keys/directory
• To start the license server:
  • asi_elmd -s0 -e /path/to/Keys -l log.file
• To check the status of the server:
  • asi_elmusage (list key usage)
  • asi_elmadmin -s (list all servers)
  • asi_elmadmin -l (list keys and users)
• To stop the license server:
  • asi_elmadmin -k

Environment Variables

• AEROSOFT_HOME --> Sets the AeroSoft Home directory.
• AEROSOFT_ELMHOST --> Directs the search for a license key to a specific mahcine.
• ELMTIMEOUT --> Sets the time out (in seconds) for the license manager. Default is 15 seconds. When the flow solver goes to check for a connection with the server, this is how long it waits before timing out.
• ELMRETRIES --> Sets the number of retries for the time out. Default is 2 retries.

Misc Notes

• The license server requires a valid IP address (not 127.0.0.1)
• When running the license server, use full paths for the Keys directory and log file
• Default Keys location is /usr/opt/aeroSoft/etc/keys
• The log file and keys directory must be given as a full path
