Release Notes for GASP v4.3.1
VERSION 4.3.2 NEW FEATURES
-
In the QSpec, added more flexibility to temperature, pressure and
density inputs. Can now edit any two to set input and can also set
mole or mass fractions (in addition to the actual specie density
values).
-
Added label "nSoln" to display tables in Zone interface so users
will know how many solution variables are associated with each
zone. Change display of selected zones so that zones will be listed in ascending order.
-
Added a limit on temperature. This is set via the xml file only
at this time using the parameter Tmax.
-
Added wall rebound options for particle tracking which include
pure reflection and now a model by Tabakoff.
-
Added an option for including the force of gravity in the particle calculations.
-
Added a new Min/Max output Option for post-processing.
This output type will compute the minimum or maximum of a given variable,
and report the logical coordinate location for that variable.
-
Added an output function for heat release.
-
Added omega wall blowing bc in support of porous walls.
-
Implemented user interface additions for the AeroOptics coupling for chemical laser analysis.
-
Implemented extensions to COIL based gain calculation. Note the
PowerFactor is now an entry in the species database, that
defaults to 1, and the old gain behavior. The coefficients for data
associated with this feature can only be
accessed directly from the .xml database file, not from the GUI.
BUG FIXES AND CORRECTIONS
-
Bug fix for MPI solver output of face info at nodes.
-
Change porous wall bc to be either split or full type based on
GUI input.
-
Bug fix to the GUI concerning output node re-display focus.
-
Bug Fix for the update in the database using thermo.inp and trans.inp
files. A cancel on the dialog used to skip all remaining updates.
-
Bug fix in Block::FillZoneProcId. This routine was Navier-Stokes
dependent, and would crash if called with non NS type zones.
-
Removed memory leaks in the COIL resonator code.
-
Correction to the solid heat solver for time accurate flows. The
dual time src terms now directly uses the enthalpy.
-
For windows, the grid files for time accurate should not be
logical links. This is now corrected.
-
Minor bug fixes in the tree view and another to solid thermo bcs.
-
Bug fix in solid/solid BCs. In certain cases, the mapping info
was not being used correctly.
-
Correct a potential bug in the sweep tab in setting the QSpec
value. If QSpec value was out of range, the GUI would crash
before. Now it resets the value.
-
The Reverse Pointwise Data call had a potential bug when doing it
for transient data.
-
Fixed a bug in CGNS Import. Caused by improperly interpreting zonal boundary
definitions as specified by GridPro.
-
Correction to mole fractions in QSpec window when condensation is
being used.
-
Bug fix related to writing the restart file when using MPI.
-
Added better diagnostic output for gasp executable compiled without
the "--solve" option.
-
A bug in ZB mapping of non-equilibrium vib energies was
corrected. The last non-eq energy term was not being passed.
-
Marching Changes: (1) Changed option "sweep all planes" to
"Restart at current plane" (2) Added option to pass solution
before marching.
-
Mass flow output for incompressible Navier-Stokes corrected.
-
Added check to prevent a new database without particles to crash GUI.
-
Added error checking for solid/solid BCs.
-
The CGNS import was very slow for large grids. Algorithm improvements
result in faster import when imporiting with zonal boundary or BC info.
-
Added a sort option to the Grid/Soln Mgt list
This feature allows more flexibility when replacing
grids and solutions in an existing input deck.
-
Upon GUI exit, corrected the checking for changes in deck for Chimera.
-
Added proper checking for solids/liquids existing in the database
for particle tracking (GUI check).
-
General interp pt-2-pt limitation removed.
-
fixed a bug due to the following sequence of events
1) recombine zones 2) decompose zones 3) compute chimara zonal boundaries
4) receive an error reporting cell volume = 0 error
-
Fixed bug in LOW_WILCOX, f_beta and f_beta^* were not being computed.
-
Fixed bugs in zipper grid calculations.
-
One too many scrolled windows in the special bc data and the
active porous wall info was not being displayed.
-
Conversion to Spalart-Allmaras from a tke model would give nan if
mut was zero. Corrected.
-
Bug fix with output of y+ using wall functions. The wall
distance was not being computed.
-
Corrected some unit declarations in the output variables
Added solution archiving and the use of the interupt signal to
stop gasp with a write.
-
Corrections to the cut and edit buttons for pointwise.
-
Momentum moment print variable was using force units; changed to
moment units.
-
Corrected output for cfl and dt for face based output.
