Product Upgrades
SENSE Version 1.1.1 (released
2/01/02)
- Added direct solver which performs an LU
decomposition of the entire LHS matrix. This provides the sensitivities
in one step for 2-D problems.
- The primitive flow variables are now imported
through the solnmgr. For Spalart-Allmaras computations, add the Spalart
eddy viscosity. For two-equation calculations, add K and omega.
- Using an alternate solution for high-order
near-by extrapolation has been disabled.
- Memory estimates from the solnmgr have been
updated to reflect added capabilities.
- Output support for unformatted binary and
iblanking.
- License management software has been
upgraded.
SENSE Version 1.1.0 (released
7/20/00)
- Support for zero, one and two-equation
turbulence modeling (Baldwin-Lomax, Spalart-Allmaras,
Wilcox, k-w).
- Output variables added for turbulence data
(for example, y+, k+, P/e, Reynolds stresses,
corresponding sensitivity data).
SENSE Version 1.0.4 (released
9/1/99)
- Tangency boundary condition improved for
geometric design variables.
- More parallelism (99.2% of the code is now
parallel).
- An error magnification factor is output
for integrated data.
- Output of more flow-gradient data (density
and velocity components).
- Cosmetic changes to the input file to
support future releases.
SENSE Version 1.0.3
- Implicit zonal boundaries with zone
parallel capability. This feature dramatically improves
CPU performance for zonal-boundary problems.
- Domain decomposition utility has been
added to utilize the implicit zonal-boundary capability
on multi-tasking machines.
- Added block-Jacobi inner iterations. This
scheme is the fastest per inner iteration, but the least
robust for general problems and the convergence rate is
the slowest of the schemes.
- Added block Jacobi and line Jacobi as
preconditioners for GMRES. The most robust scheme still
remains to be GMRES/ILU(0).
- Near-by Taylor series approximations can
be output in conservative variables. The advantage here
is that the conservative field can be imported back into
SENSE to march through the design space without running a
flow solver again.
- Alternate flow fields can be used in the
post-processing utility FIELD and PLOT. This feature
allows for second-order mid-point ODE methods to march
through the design space.
